Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Overview:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, maintaining accounting records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing financial insights to support business decision-making. This role involves managing daily accounting operations, supervising junior accounting staff, and assisting in financial planning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Compliance
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to auditor requests.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for regulatory reporting.

  General Accounting & Transactions

  • Oversee general ledger (GL) maintenance, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Ensure timely and accurate accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processing.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, vendor accounts, and intercompany transactions.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

  Budgeting & Financial Analysis

  • Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic planning.
  • Monitor cash flow and suggest financial strategies to optimize working capital.

  Tax & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns (VAT, corporate tax, payroll tax, etc.).
  • Keep up to date with tax laws and financial regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate with tax consultants and regulatory bodies as needed.

  Internal Controls & Process Improvement

  • Develop and implement internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements to enhance financial operations.
  • Support automation initiatives in accounting and reporting systems.

  Team Leadership & Support

  • Mentor and supervise junior accountants and accounting assistants.
  • Provide guidance on accounting principles, policies, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision-making.

Education & Training:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or CMA certification preferred).

Knowledge & Experience:

•  5+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or auditing.
• Experience in a corporate, public accounting, or finance environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).

• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Working Conditions:

WORK ENVIRONMENT	Hybrid work options (in-office and remote).
HOURS / SHIFTS	Core hours from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Flexible working hours
SALARY	20 to 35K (Gross), based on the interview
